Today, I started out at 161.2 lbs. I'm modeling my bathing suit b/c the primary reason I decided to do this was bc we're going to the beach this wknd and I am NOT feeling it. So here's a day 1 shot and I'll do a day 4 or 5 depending on when I want to stop.
I did this last yr and here's a pic of the difference within a week if that.
hoping to get some results like this again. I'm not sure exactly how much I was when I started out but I can't even fit in those jeans anymore cause I'm too big! :( anyhow
for breakfast I made a juice with:
1 red apple
2 green apples
2 celery stalk
a handful of blueberries
1 orange
a sliver of ginger
1 cucumber
It was okay. I think I know what I'm doing wrong. I've not really made juices with cucumbers and celery before. All the juices I've made before were to DIE for. But I think adding these two ingredients since they are made up of a lot of water, dilutes the juice so the flavor isn't as strong. So my suggestion if you're adding these two ingredients, throw in some extra of what you were intending on putting in there or add some herbs or something really potent.
Also, another thing I want to add, as far as those on a budget. Apples and Carrots should be your staple. They are used by most as a staple anyways but these are great tasting and cheap. Carrot juice is pretty tasty....i know it sounds gross but it's great! So good for you, sweet but not with an overpowering carrot taste which is what makes it so great as a base! Heck, you could just drink it by itself!!
Also, another thing! Kale! I have yet to try it..as a matter of fact I'm going to try my first real green juice tonight with some kiyan (omg don't know how to spell it lol) pepper, bell pepper, kale, spinach...i'm excited! And I'll let you know how that goes, but anywho! Last night I found out that a great source of MINERALS is kale and that the deficiency ppl tend to experience on a juice fast is a mineral def so throw some kale in there ppl! I will!! :)
